What to Look Out For
Confusing Brand and Domain Names
Be careful for domains or brand names that mix I (ivan) and l (larry) or use odd spellings.
These can be hard to retype, hard to find again, and hard to dispute later.
If you can’t easily find the site again after closing it, that’s a red flag.
Confusing Brand and Domain Names
Legit brands make returns easy to find (footer, checkout, FAQ).
Be careful if
You have to scroll excessively
The policy is buried or hidden
The language is unusually long or dense
Overly Complex Return Requirements
If a return policy:
Is longer than the product description
Reads like it’s designed to make you give up
Penalizes you at every step
Assume returning will be difficult or costly.
